Food and drink at the dollar stores considered-some thoughts

The other day, I walked along the road, as there were no tables to sit inside Starbucks. I thought I had to get the air conditioning because it was 115 degrees out here near the California desert. Along the way was a dollar store, so I walked, checking that the books on sale for a buck and shot the shop to see what kind of merchandise that we had. It was amazing, there were a number of corridors of food and a lot of buyers into buying all the grub.

Looking at food, I noticed that there were some name brands, but noted that prices were really cheaper than might buy at your local grocery store or Costco or Wal-Mart for that matter. Then there were the marks out, that were actually cheaper. So I am interested to know if the ingredients were similar to name brands and the country of origin was to all these foodstuffs.

There was canned fish, salmon, even though it was a “product of China”, and to tell you the truth I’m not too interested in buying fish from a fish farm that were raised in China in one of the bays coming off the Pacific Ocean. Just because a fish farmer was able to put up a net to keep the fish in giant, does not mean that those fish do not swim in polluted waters or a dead zone that is known to be more than 300 square miles off the coast of all major cities in China.

Also, I cannot ascertain if the Chinese fish farmers still are throwing fish protein food with chemicals in it to help the fish to grow quickly and rapidly, of fat located in the past has been poisonous. I suppose that all these problems have been cured by now, because the American public and the media threw such a measure, but we don’t know that for sure, and I never inspected the facilities. Hopefully things that are grown and made in the United States, because our regulatory agencies are on the scene, and no company in the United States don’t want to risk a huge lawsuit.

There were other food from Mexico and given that buy products from Mexico all the time like produce and vegetables in our regular store, I think they look good. I’m just wondering when buying these foodstuffs from China in these stores and dollar type there must be four or five store using chains that same per-item dollar format, with similar products. In fact I hope please consider all this and think about it.
